Osprey Water Reservoir Review

The Osprey 2 liter water reservoir

This reservoir has some well thought out attributes that in my opinion raise the bar. Is it perfect no, but it is better than most. Here is a list of what I have found out the reservoir after using it a few times:

1. It has a backing plate that allows it to remain semi-in-shape as you put it in your back pack
2. Slim profile
3. The bladder does have a rubber taste but goes away after a few uses
4. the bite valve works well and a good draw of water flows from it
5. Mid hose disconnect has a one was valve into to prevent water from siphoning out
6. This bladder is designed for Osprey packs, but it can be used with any back pack in my opinion
7. Filling the reservoir is simple
8. cleaning the reservoir is easy
9. the reservoir has a duck-bill type of lip so you could very well collect water in a shallow water source
10. there are two sizes of this reservoir 2 and 3 Liter

I have only used this a dozen times but right now I do not have any leaks from the folding seal that has a clip that holds it securely in place.
