I found myself reluctantly going warm water fishing today. The smallmouth bass should be in prespawn mode, but the lake is not 55 degrees in the central basin.
I went to Elk Creek and fished close to the mouth. The water
was in the high 40’s to maybe 50 degrees maybe.
Again, all we can do is try, but it stings a little more
when fuel is 5.00 a gallon!
