Ohio's Dark Park

To have a passion about something you have to have the sense of wanting more out of one's life.

For example it's 0325 and I traveled a hair over an hour to sit in my camping chair alone in the dark to take photos of stars.

The wildlife is going off in the treelines all around me.  The owls are hooting like it's  a concert.   The overnight low is in the low 50's.

The amount of serenity I feel that it almost feels fake because it feels so good.

Up here in rural Geauga County you forget sometimes how easy it can be to get away from other densely populated areas.

With the skies being so clear this morning I'm shocked that no one else is up here.  The smoke pollution is very minimal this morning from the Canadian wildfires.

The winds are very light almost nonexistent.  The other reason I wanted to do this now is because in another month this place will have more mosquitoes per square foot than the entire state of Louisiana.

I mean I thought it was mosquitogeden it was awful.

So, here I sit and reflect.
