To be Fair its the Fair

These folks come from all over and come to county fairs for several reasons. The reasons range from selling, purchasing, and or competition.  I will have an unique opportunity to take photos of livestock as they are groomed for competition in the show ring.  I look forward in seeing all the competitors getting ready for their big moment.

Headed out to hike 11.3 miles this morning

 I am currently making breakfast and going to head out! I am getting more and more excited about my Maine vacation.

Maine 2021 Highlights

I just wrapped up the 11.3 mile hike today! I expanded my 9.6 mile loop to 11.3 mile loop. It was muggy and buggy with all the rain.

Downhome with a heavy heart

 I'm here for a funeral and it's tough.  Her mother is my Aunt the sister of my grandmother who passed a few years ago.  Her mother's maiden name is the same as mine.  

She has 20 great grandchildren and so her legacy will live on.  

I have been staying at my cousins house alone.  This has been a blessing because it's been quiet and allows me to genuinely reflect.  

I started my last day here at the Tygart Lake Lodge with some breakfast.

This hike is extremely weather dependent. A lot of the trails leading up the mountain are dry creek beds. If a rain event is enough the trails become mountain creeks/rivers. This will make hiking an absolute nightmare.  Any weather front could cancel the hike to the summit, but we will see. I just hope mother nature is in a good mood that day!
